“Locked out at 1am after a wedding in town. Rang the (01) number and a real Dublin man answered straight away — no menu, no call centre. Eighteen minutes later he was at the door of my apartment on Rathmines Road and had me inside in five without a single mark on the door. Charged exactly the €95 he quoted on the phone. Genuinely brilliant service. I will be saving the number for life.”

4.9/5 from 250+ verified Dublin reviews
If you have been broken into, or someone has tried, we secure the property immediately and provide an insurance-approved written report on the same visit. Same-day response any day of the week, including Christmas Day.
What we do on the call
- Secure the property (board up if necessary, replace damaged cylinder, repair frame)
- Upgrade to anti-snap TS007 3-star cylinder so the same method cannot be used again
- Check the rest of the doors and windows for similar weaknesses
- Provide a written, dated invoice naming the British Standard of every part fitted
- Provide a separate insurance-claim report on request
Common attack patterns we see in Dublin
By far the most common attack on Dublin homes is "lock snapping" on UPVC and composite doors — a euro cylinder that doesn't carry a 3-star anti-snap rating can be snapped in under 30 seconds with a basic wrench. The fix is straightforward: replace with a TS007 3-star cylinder (Brisant Ultion, Mul-T-Lock MT5+, ABS Avocet). The cost is €115 fitted.
Other security upgrades we'd recommend
- Hinge bolts on outward-opening doors
- Reinforced strike plates and longer fixings on timber doors
- Window key-locks (very few Dublin houses have these and they are €15 fitted)
- Patio door anti-lift restrictor bolts (€105 fitted)
- Smart-lock with remote auto-lock so the door is never accidentally left unlocked

“Came home from work to a UPVC front door I couldn't get open — handle had gone completely floppy. Got a fixed price of €185 on the phone before he left and that's exactly what I paid. Fitted a new gearbox in under an hour and showed me what had gone wrong with the old one. Polite, tidy and made sure I had three working keys before he left. Top class.”
“Genuinely the fastest locksmith I've ever used in Dublin. Locked the keys inside the apartment in Beacon South Quarter, rang at 11pm, was at my door in twelve minutes. €95 fixed price, no call-out fee on top, no hidden anything. He even waited to make sure my new keys worked before driving off. I have his number saved as "the locksmith who actually shows up".”
“Came out on a Sunday morning for a burglary repair in Tyrrelstown. House had been hit Saturday night while we were away for a christening. Replaced the snapped cylinder with an anti-snap one, fitted a new mortice on the back door and gave us a written report for the insurance — all in under two hours. The insurance handler said it was the cleanest report she'd seen all month. Highly recommend.”
“Lost my car keys somewhere in the long-term car park at Dublin Airport coming back from a trip. Called the AA first — they wanted to tow it to the dealer, two days minimum, €400+. Rang Locksmiths.ie instead, the auto-locksmith van was at the car in twenty minutes, cut and programmed a new key on the spot, total €165 fixed price. Drove home that evening. Lifesavers.”
“My elderly mother locked herself out of her apartment near Spencer Dock late on a Saturday night. She's 84 and I was an hour away. The lad on the phone reassured her, was there in fifteen minutes, opened the door without damage, made sure she had a cup of tea before he left. Charged me the standard €95. The kind of service you don't expect any more in Dublin.”
